Can everyone be hypnotized?
Almost everyone can be hypnotized to some degree. Exceptions include:
- People with low IQs
- People who suffer from psychological disorders such as schizophrenia
- People who do not want to be hypnotized
Can I be made to do anything I don’t want to do?
People in a hypnotic state will not act against
their moral or ethical code. You are always in control and at any time can make a decision to evolve from your hypnotherapy session to a more present state of mind.always retain the freedom to accept or reject a
particular suggestion.
Will I get “stuck” in a hypnotic state?
Many times I have driven down a road only to realize that I have "zoned" out. This is a state of self hypnosis. You were always present in that moment even though you have "zoned out" for a moment. The same thing is true with
hypnotherapy. At anytime you have the ability to end your hypnotic state of mind.
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy is a cognitive treatment that can be used for treating various life behavior patterns and thought processes. Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxing both physically and mentally.
The subconscious resists change, which is why we get stuck in old
patterns. Through relaxation techniques, a trained hypnotherapist can
guide you into a relaxed state. While you are in this relaxed state, the
hypnotherapist can reinforce new behaviors and goals by strengthening
your focus and reducing your psychological and/or emotional barriers.
This allows you to achieve your goals with enhanced motivation and ease.
Does hypnotherapy really work?
Yes. We have helped many people achieve their hypnotherapy goals. Many scientific studies have demonstrated its
benefits. It has been shown to be effective in helping people to lose
weight, quit smoking, improve performance, increase self-esteem and
self-confidence, reduce anxiety and panic attacks. It also helps with
stress management and personal growth.
How does hypnotherapy differ from psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy works with the conscious mind using “talk therapy”
and tends to be a long-term effort that extends over several months to
several years. Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind and is
short-term. Many times noticeable results occur in a single session.
Depending on the person and the number and complexity of the issues, it can take from 1-4 sessions typically to obtain your desired goals.
